Aux Terminal in Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have owned a Skoda Fabia (57) for three years, and when I first got it, my brother was really impressed that he could plug in his iPod to the Aux terminal (near the handbrake) and we played his iPod through the radio speakers. All well and good, however Im a CD girl, and have just acquired my first MP3 player. I asked my bro what cable he used to plug it in, and he cant remember (and now lives in a different city, so cant pop over and have a look...)

Can anyone tell me what cable I need? Or even what the endings look like... I can work it out... Just want to know otherwise its going to be a bit pointless having the Aux terminal in the car :S

thanks very much - thats all i needed. much obliged

Just a small point... Skoda DO sell the cable needed, in fact, two if them. One is a short one, about 20mm /8 inches long. (ask the B/F) And another, longer one, not too sure how long.

I was advised most people use the short one and got one when buying the car and it is just long enough but I may get the longer one to make it more user friendly. You need to keep the player in the small cubby hole behind the handbrake with the short one but it is quite difficult to see from the outside if you forget it. If you want the player on the dash, the longer one will be better. and they are quite fairly priced at around 3 quid for the short, 5 for the longer, approx. Not bad for dealer supplied original equipment. B)
