Air vent problem!

Featured Replies

Hey,

2 of the slats on the air vent nearest the passenger door have, i believe, come off their pins as they aren't moving with others and look off straight. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Cheers

Unfortunately, you have to replace the whole vent

When i bought the car they had the problem solved in about 10mins so i assume they didnt have a new vent, may be mistaken though

The one they fixed wasnt the one that is broken now

Sounds like they 'quick-fixed' it as it's obviously not a permanent fix. They are on a fairly complex gear driven mechanism so it could be lots of things wrong. And they seem to go wrong quite a bit. The usual answer is to pull it and replace it. Either from a scrap car or a new one is about £40 from a dealer.
