Yeti ordered today - 150 days to delivery and counting....

Featured Replies

Hi.

We ordered our Yeti today and have been told it will be Feb delivery. Its a shame it will take so long but i am sure it will be worth the wait. We had ordered a Mini Countryman last March to replace our Mini Clubman but we changed our mind when we saw the Countryman in the flesh. This forum has really helped me specify the car. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum 'Black Yeti' I take it that's the colour you have ordered.

Welcome Black Yeti.

What spec and accessories have you ordered??

Welcome aboard, I think you'll find the wait very much worth it! :-)

Join the club! Ordered mine on 24th September also Black Magic, not got a build date yet (told it will take 3-4 weeks to get that) but I'm expecting mid to late Feb if not early March. Assuming it arrives in Feb were you looking to delay delivery until 1st March? Painful I know but might be worthwhile as the 11 plate will hold greater value than a 60 plate.

Has the dealer spoken to you re the VAT increase. I specifically ordered mine before the 30th September Skoda cutoff for keeping the VAT at 17.5%, has the dealer agreed that with you? If not it would be worthwhile having a chat with them as it's likely that you will have to stomp up another £460 (approx depending on spec) over the agreed cost as the VAT charged is based on delivery date not order date. Hopefully the dealer discussed this with you already and it's built into your budget and I'm not the bearer of bad news

Welcome and congratulations on your choice of new car. I am sure you have made the right choice selecting the Yeti over the Countryman.

As for the wait, well time does seem to slowdown after ordering...

But the end result is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO satisfying :D

Many thanks. Something to look forward to! I speced a 1.2 dsg in black with 12 speaker sound system, 3 spoke steering wheel, Option pack electric seats, Heated windscreen, Silver roof rails, 17” ‘Annapurna’ polished Alloys, and Tyre pressure monitor. Should be a nice car. Our kids are getting bigger and having only one rear door on the Mini was getting painful.

Hi. Just had a call from the dealer. Its ready for collection from the dealer. We pick up tomorrow. That's 15 weeks. How time flies

Congratulations, you very lucky person. Mine has hopefully been built this week and is predicted for delivery on 1 March: that will be exactly 28 weeks from order to delivery.

Wow. Is that because of the longer time taken to build cars with sunroofs?

No, no sunroof (I wish!) - just the problem (I guess) with supply of the 170 diesel engine.

Not sure about the above. I ordered mine on 23 December and have it all invoiced etc with 17.5% VAT and dealer assured me that the 17.5 vat would apply as per invoice.

Enjoy your new car!

When I wrote that comment it was true, Skoda were only holding cars at 17.5% if purchased before the end of September. That then changed to cars bought before the end of December, I guess due to demand and people clearly being willing to wait.

Just realised ordered my 110 4x4 diesel 11 weeks ago today and it was supposed to be being built week after next, then two weeks after that and now who knows

Anyway very pleased to hear your at least collecting tomorrow, enjoy the new found Monster experience; nice motors those 1.2TSI DSG

TP

Yes - I've just got the following email from my dealer :-

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not true.

If you ordered your car before 31/12/10 you are VAT protected as well as

price protected.

The only rule is once the car arrives with us the customer must take

delivery within 10 days otherwise Skoda will charge the increase.
