spent a bit of time today cleaning the exhaust on the car, i used some wire wool for the inside and then some metal polish. altho it did turn up better than it did it didn quite come up how i thought it would, still so soot stained on there, maybe i need thicker wire wool? just was wondering how you guys clean your exhaust?

Autosol and a firm toothbrush.

If it's really bad try a Dremel with a polishing head!

Wire wool will scratch and spoil the finish.

If you have to use it, then keep it well lubricated with oil.
