Hey

Ive sold my clio and its going on saturday as long as everything goes ok. So now i will have some money to get a vrs. Trouble is they are so widely priced!!

Ive been looking at a 53 plate with 53k miles on that was £5000 (that was privite) but then theres a 06 plate with 94k on it at a garage that looks really nice That is 4995. And now i dont know wether to look at newer cars with more miles or older cars with less. All i really want is something that will last and im not paying over the odds for.

So does anyone think that 4995 is too much for a car that has 94k miles on it? (it does have full skoda history and one owner and the cambelt has been recently done)

Any help would be great!!

Cheers

I bought an 06 Fabia vRS from someone on here 2 weeks ago with 46k on it for £6000. FSSH + timing belt recently done.

I paid £4k for my '04 with 87k on it.

but it was a six hour round trip to get it :)

depends how far/ how much you are willing to do to get the right one.

I paid in May last year £4450 for a 05 with 58k miles on.

With FSH and a cambelt change.

Id say there over priced tbh. but tbh miles dont really matter with VAG diesels. Ive read there running best at 100k miles.

that was cheap! i paid £6350 for 55reg with 67k from a dealer with fssh [inc cam kit change] 6mths ago emoticon-0148-yes.gif and at the time that was about right price, only 100k + cars were around £4.5/5k

May last year the car market was on its ar*e, the prices of them have picked up since then and you aint gonna get a car for the same as then. The main thing is just keep looking until you fiond something that you are really happy with.

I looked at loads over a period of 3 -4 months, and finally got mine in June this year, a 2007 '07' vRS with FSSH and 26.5k on clock for 6600. It took me long time to find it and I had to drive 100 miles for it, just keeps your eyes open.

Cheer everyone for the qick replys. Im going to have a look at one tomorrow. I was only really looking at silver ones but ive spotted a really nice (well looks it in the pics) Red one with low milage so im gona go have a gander tomorrow coz its not too far away. Keeping my fingers crossed!!! lol

Try and get one with as many extra's as you can. Xenon's, heated seats, parking sensors, cruise control, sunroof... They are worth the extra, and all I got all of those on my 04 which i bought 2 years ago for £4,500
