ko3s hybrid

Featured Replies

hi was wondering weather its worth getting my k03s hybrided or should i go k04 hybrid what sorta power would i get from tht

hi danniboi, you should see between 260-290 bhp from a hybrid ko3s,depending on supporting mods and what you have to spend.heres a little list of bits, hybrid ko3s £545 +12 postage from cr turbos, software st 3 custom map £400-500,4 bar fpr £80,audi tt 225 bam injectors £200,3" maf can be as much as £80-100,water meth injection £700approx (you need this to hit 290 bhp) fitted,hi flow exhaust manifold £200-£500(need this to for 290 bhp),labour to remove/fit the turbo, mani, inj, maf, odds and ends etc, maybe as little as £0 to £400-500 dependin where you live or who you know on here.that little lot will cost you between £1350 ish - £3000ish to do it properly.obviously the less you spend the less power and reliability you get, particularly with the oem bits if you get secondhand maf, inj, fpr etc.not cheep by any means, especially £3000.if you put that towards a st 2 (fmic, full exh,),diff, clutch, coilovers?????? just a thought,a hybrid ko3s wont keep up with a remapped vectra vxr and you can get one of those for £9000.

but a vectra is pants lol

k03s hybrid is a great choice imo

prices above are very very high end

maf £30

injectors ( bam ) £100

fuel pump £100

mapping ( r-tech ) £250 to £300 full custom map

3 bar reg just fine only need a 4 if you go with cc or badger 5 etc etc

will run a healthy 270 bhp but as above works alot better with wmi but not essential

as for high flow mannifold not needed bill @badger 5 can ort standard manni to flow just as much as any manni on the market for around £40

well worth it

it is however imo essential than you already have front mount etc etc and uprated brakes ds2500 pads and discs good + uprated suspension

good luck need any more advise just drop me a pm buddy

So about 1K all in

i would say about £1500 buddy with a few gaskets etc etc needed and oil filter blah blah

i would also stress when doing all this work remove the sump and replace the oil strainer a must imo and only costs £12 for the sealent

£3000 is top end for all the bits, but thats for brand new parts, not stuff from a breakers.also there is alot of labour and bits in there that are not essential.if you feel confident doing it yourself (i would) then you can save a fair bit.as westallc says you can just get the oem bits, turbo and then get it mapped.

cheers fellas gt the injection rail with s3 injectors and 4bar fpr

and as for mapping i get a very good deal at amd as iv had all my work done by them iv gt kw coilovers and greenstuff pads getting a custom exhaust next week and fmic very soon

green stuff pads are you mad lol they are pants unless they have improved lots since i ran them in a rover of all things and they struggled then lol

seat cupra .net always has second hand stuff up for sale and its pretty easy conversion if you have a spare day and dont have 2 left hands lol
