Ok, so I have heard about this Vag Com business...question, what can it do to my 07 Octy II Vrs? Will it allow me to activate toys that you would normally have to pay the dealer to 'fit'? Sorry for the daft questions...

I'm in Portsmouth, I was hoping for the 'coming/leaving home lighting'! Oh and the bloody seatbelt warning that pings at me.

VAGCOM can do that, Seatbelt light is easy/ Full CH/LH functionality depends wether you have the dimming mirror with the light sensor in it or not? It'll still work without this, but the lights will come on in daylight as well

Cool, I'd be happy with that. Don't think I have that mirror, looks pretty standard to me. Now to find someone with VAGCOM.

me thinks it would be worth looking in the VAGCOM section and see if there is a member near you that may help you out.

I think I will Mike, might be going to a meet down here in November so hopefully will get in touch with someone who has vagcom there, or at least knows someone who does. Definitely need to turn off the Mirrors, that's not annoying enough when parking.
