Can't remember if I've posted here before but been registered a long time.

Thanks to reading up on this forum recently I found out about Fabia 1.4 8v MPI thermostat and power steering sensor issues. Took it to an auto electrician with a to do list. They confirmed with Vag-Com and 2 days later I seem to have a niggle-free car.

Reading this forum may have saved me a few hundred quid or putting up with flickering headlights until I run the car into the ground. Just going on Vag-Com errors they would have just diagnosed power steering pump fault. Thanks to this forum I suggested that they tried the angle sensor first and it seemed to do the trick.

Was great to have a short journey in the dark, starting cold with the temp gauge up to the middle in less than a mile and no headlights flicker or whining noises. Car felt like it had more power on hills too, although that could be my imagination.
