Kontact cambelt kit?

hi all, my car is due a cam belt change and i was speaking to my mechanic about it and he said he will do it for £140 all in. he said not to buy the kit myself as he gets them on full trade and that he uses a make called kontact becuase their the best apparantly, says there a japanese make, has anybody heard of these people? i dont mind paying extra to get the good stuff :) whatdo you guys recommend? kit wise i mean, whats the best kit out there, is it just best to stick to skoda parts? how much is the kit from skoda?

Probably Contitech, belts made by continental, the tyre firm.

They're pretty good, and an oem supplier to skoda, along with gates.

To get the cambelt done at skoda including the waterpump your looking at £450+

i know its scary, was chuffed with what he quoted me

I paid over £330+ for Cambelt,Water Pump, auxiliary belt and G12 anti-freeze renewed with labour + vat.

At £140 quid I'd worship the ground he walked on. LOLemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

lol i know but hes always so flat out he's so unreliable lol he will say bring it down on thurs, you go down, bring it back tomorrow,... tomorrow.... etc etc lol worth the pain in the ass tho when it comes to money
