PocketDyno+ Results

Recommended Posts

Installed PocketDyno+ on my iPhone the other day.

I tried it out on a quiet level piece of road and got the following results with my Octy VRS. I did screw up the run by changing from 2nd to 5th (****) which killed the 1/4 mile time, but the results are quite impressive nonetheless.

How modified is your car?

If it's standard those figures are fairly chin-rub-inducing.

A claimed wheel HP figure of 246, you'd be looking at around what... 280-290 at the fly?

And 1.3 secs off the standard 0-60 time. Impressive...

Sorry guys, I should have mentioned the revo remap and modded dump valve. I think it would drop under 6 secs for the 0-60 if I did it correctly !!

How does the iphone pickup the data

You input some information and then you calibrate the device.

Once it's firmly stapped into the car it uses the accelerometer to calculate the acceleration and speed of the car, the power figure is an estimate based on the information inut into the app and the accleration figures etc.

Embarrasingly I don't know which dump valve has been fitted. I purchased the car used.

I have had an octy vrs before, and this one is noticeably quicker.

It sounds like the air brakes on an HGV, when you come off of the throttle, but not as loud!

Loud enough to make pedestrians glance though.
