TSR Performance, Bridgewater

Featured Replies

After 4 months of Octy vRS driving I have decided I need MORE POWER !!!!

I have read a great many threads with regards to both Jabba and Revo and although I am tempted by Jabba I think it may be difficult to explain to SWMBO why I have to go all the way to Cambridgeshire to get my car 'looked at'' ;) , so it looks like I will go the Revo route. My nearest Revbo dealer seems to be TSR performance in Bridgwater (looks to be only a few hundred yards up the road from the Irvines dealership I got my Octy from), so the question is has anyone used them or heard anything about them.

All info appreciated

I've heard good things about them. A cruizing site I'm a paid member of nearly went there for a rolling road day, but we ended up going down to Alan Jeffries in Plymouth. (remember the sooty exhaust shot?)

Have you tried contacing Alan jeffries, but I don't know what tuner they are - I have a feeling it could be.... *cough Superchips. :D

TSR ?

Been going for years, can't see you having any problems with them. :)

Been going for many years. Started off tuning the MK1 Golf GTI I think.

Yep, they are just up the road from Irvines :D

only a chimp could install revo and **** it up. even though tim stiles has left iirc the reputation is still there, clubgti do rolling road days there most weekends

Started up doing Minis actually, believe it or not as they used to race them.

Then discovered the delights of the GTI engine (in a Jetta!)back in the '80s and the rest is history.

Well established company, Revo only a plug in anyway so nowt to worry about but they'll have all the diagnostic gear if something does go amiss.

They're nestled away behind a second hand car dealership now IIRC (used to be just down the road from the VW dealer).

Thanks for the replys. My Octy will be due for its first service shortly so I will probably go back to Irvines and take the opportunity to pop into TSR at the same time. Interestingly I know the 2nd hand dealers as I test drove an 52 reg Astra Coupe Turbo there (

Irvines are very good, see review section. :)

You may note that your review comes after mine ;)

Indeed :D

TSR, absolutely no problems I know of, were very helpful to me about 4 years ago when I bought a Subaru, It had been involved in a hump back flying incident with a very hard landing (totalled) & they gave the repaired car a real going over before I bought it.

Tim moved to France, I think about 2 years ago but their reputation has continued to grow. If your down there have a look at the Red Passat if theyve still got it & dont be decieved by the Diesel badge
