fabia subtle mods?

Featured Replies

Thanks soot1e you are full of wisdom lol, I'll look into collies

I'd like the rarb but my dog guard take up that space I'll need to invest in a different type of guard.

I would like the wheels sprayed but my wife fvcked my 182 anthracite wheels so prob not worth the bother

lol funny :p

If you really want a different spoiler (I only got this because mine came with a spoiler) then the MS Design boot spoiler is nice without looking too out of place

Hi guys, and of course you as well luce :p

i would definitly go for coilovers rather than springs, as iv just changed to weitec coilovers and they are great. i have my replaced apex 40mm springs as well which will be for sale if anyone needs them. They wer a tad bouncy for me but i ran standard shocks with them so didnt expect miricles. If you need any pics of the car with the coilovers or apex springs i will gladly post some. Photos of the splitter for you as well luce if you like, its easy enough to fit. As for the spoiler i wouldnt change it but if you insist (women usually do ;) ) id opt or jasons suggestion. His looks great and not much bigger than the original, yet its a little different and not many people have changed them, to my knowledge.

Cheers, Elliott

RARB goes under the car, you are confusing it with a rear strut brace.

Thanks for that, yes I got confused :)

other cheap subtle mods include,

Aero style wipers, £25 ish for Bosch ( I'd use no other myself.)

Polo aero wiper upgrade for the rear. (order parts from VW about £25)

Upgraded headlamp bulbs, Average £20 a pair full beam and dipped beams

Detango all the indicators, £10 odd quid.

Led parking lights £5 upwards

that sort of thing can subtly change the look of the car

Oh and welcome btw.

Ok, brilliant thanks, I really like your front grille in the pic nice

The first two are nice, but I'm sure they'll catch on the aerial when the boot is raised...my spoiler is a tad shorter than those, but still does that...which neatly brings me to another subtle mod, the VW shark fin aerial :)

Oh yeah, i forgot that... Daft really as I have one on mine :D

spent an hour fitting it yet always forget it's there. My spoiler

is damaged where a previous owner had the aerial too low

and it's scraped the paint off quite badly. Still haven't fixed that yet

but it'll never get worse with a sharkfin. I get a decent enough reception

through my Xplod with it. Overall I'm glad I did it. I wouldn't have bothered

if it had been a halfords generic one. They look gash. But the proper VW part

looks right there in my opinion.

You bugger, now you've convinced me it's time to finally rudge up to my local VW dealer and give him some money :giggle:
