Ive had an Impreza as well, complete money pit & just not rewarding to drive so yopu are lucky you avoided that.

Agreed , spent loads on mine. It had an untimely demise when a BT lorry pulled straight out in front of me at 50mph. It was him or the ditch. Ditch won.

it was more than a match for most, best result was second

Fair play to you. I can only think that a 70's American Ambulance with "him" as the co-pilot would have been more conspicious. :giggle:

just make sure you get seats with much better side support.

Looking at the chunkier ones with side airbags as noticed they differ.

Another good mod if you havent done it is to fit R32 Antiroll bars ( 2 sizes, get the thicker ones 22mm I think)

Done. Neuspeed 25 mm front and 22mm rear. My car was one of the first Awesome did. It lists "wheel well modification" on the receipts. Your clarification of "put a dent in the spare wheel wheel" makes more sense though. :D

It's got on car adjustable Neuspeed TCA's fitted too for good measure. I had the alignment done recently as the TCS light came on as the steering wheel was misaligned. I would be interested to know what settings you ran on yours if you still have them. Mines been put back to standard, but now notice more understeer.

Cheers

I ran Kw V3 suspension, fully rebushed everything else, R32 front ARB & Jabba bespoke rear

As with all my cars I get the Geo set by Rich at Powerstation, bit of a drive but they set the car from first principles & ignore the books, just tell them what you want the car to do, what you will be using it for & they can dial it in to suit. http://www.powerstation.org.uk/alignment.asp Unfortunately all the paperwork went with the car

Mine was very neutral & would drift rather than under / oversteer although either could be induced in the wety by huge amounts of throttle or sudden lift off, not recomended on the road but fun on a wet track with sweeping bends.

I ran a set of Toyo R888's on it for the last Furball it did & that was truly awesome in the dry but had to be treated with huge respect in standing water
