I ordered mine on the 31 August and was given the date as "around December", this then changed to build date week 3 (17th January), now it has changed to week 2 (10th January), so going in the right direction ! One of the reasons for the delay is the 1.2 TSI DSG engine unit as they can't keep up with demand for this engine.

there is a waiting list on the whole of the skoda range due to demand for them. After a trip to skoda last week I was told if I placed an order for a 1.6tdi elegance I wont get it until the new year.

Is the car worth the wait? That is up to yourself but I do not regret waiting for my octavia for 4 months!

ordered mine dealer said 12/16 weeks 1.2 tsi se. end dec so just have to wait.one thing at least it come straight from production and not from a storage field where it as been stood for weeks!!!!

Ordered my 1.2 TSI 105 in mid june, said 120 to 150 days. Then the dealer told me that the build week is 42 which is this week. And I hope to get it by the end of october. Im also wondering is it worth waiting. Hopefully YES!

Absolutely 100% worth the wait!,why do you think we have a waiting list , people know the skoda jokes were a total a myth, I have had the old estelles ,felicias,octavia and superb, skoda cars are well worth the wait, out performing sales for most of the other car manufactures,to be honest I could have gone out to buy a BMW,JAG or MERC but the build quality is no better neither was the comfort my superb is awesome I know the fabia will be slightly lower quality but I never go on motorways so I dont need the big car,
