REVO Rocks the Rollers Again!

Featured Replies

How have you managed to get 183lb/ft from a stage 2 file on that IHI turbo when a K04 S3/ED30/Cupra at stage 2+ only manage an increase of around 140-150lb/ft which is a bigger turbo as you know and is more capable of flowing the power.

I know about the better pump & injectors on the TSi but is anything else different to the TFSi for instance cams etc.

i think the compression ratio is lower so there could be ;larger timing increases. test driving a DGS TSI on wednesday. think i might have chosen the car i'll be getting

:smirk: hmm decisions ..... i hate them

you have that much faith do you that the REVO stage 2 will be that different than the APR stage 2? :wonder:

knowing my luck REVO will make it catch on fire or break on the m5/6 on way home emoticon-0106-crying.gif

are they as reliable and problem free as my apr??

rather than 70 quids worth of petrol to go change my prob free apr to revo :smirk:

so curious ever since TSR fooooked my mk2 golf 20v conversion

just cant afford to break or ruin the octy emoticon-0106-crying.gif im just worried about running software with what looking like no support if probs arise

Hi Lloyd, if it was dangerous or would cause any extra issues then we wouldn't sell it :)

To everyone else

Yes this is a Stage 2 file on the 2.0TSI

The 2.0TSI engines do not have any issues with the fuel pump like the 2.0TFSI engines. The TSI is a much better fuelling set up :)

Also, depending on how turbo's introduce power, the size of the exhaust hosuing can alter how much a turbo can produce torque. You tend to find that some smaller turbos can create more torque.

I hope this helps

:). Cheers mate

I've got my receipt for APR Stage 2, done when you fitted my Milltek exhaust to my Mk1 Octy VRS - I assume this is enough (stage 1 was also done at Awesome).

Would APR stage 2 be replaced with equivalent REVO stage 2?

Also, do REVO do an equivalent to V-Tune?

Dan.

went to Awesome today , good guys there, though I don't think the boss was really pleased to be taking photos, hence a bit blurred. Car had a revo map on originally but low on power, sett up on rolling road now 238.07bhp and 332.24 toque. Noticed it on motorway going back ,it still pulls like a train at 120 ! The torque is really addictive. I suppose we are in a litigation culture but it would be nice if the viewing area was next to the rolling road, even if just as a barn door.

Was their a reason for the initail low output with REVO?

I did not have it done there and they could not explain it, I had it serviced by an independent since, they said the map was still there but original settings boost 1 timing 0 fuelling0 now 8 5 and 9  It was quicker originally though :S. Really good now though

"pulls like a train at 120"

i can testify to that.

it took us about 2 days to get there

and 20 minutes to get home

( or at least thats how it seemed )

Yea it was a strange one that guys - the REVO tune prior to us fettling was running almost standard so I am wondering what the other company must have done??! Strange one.

But glad you are happy with the results regardless :)

Mike

Sounds good Alan.... glad the beast is now tuned properly and running tip-top!!!

No idea how Chris and i will manage to keep up with you going to the next Yorkshire meet

The reason your REVO settings will be B1 T0 F0 is due to the battery being disconnected for some reason.

Maybe when it went for it's last service the disconnected the battery for something or have you done it for any other reason?

Either that or have you got an SPS switch and put it to stock by mistake (as those are REVO Stock settings)

BUT .....I have more TORQUES!!! :giggle:

Will have it serviced there next year anyway, and the forge DV

So when I get a remap do I have to worry about the battery being disconnected? That might be a PITA.

Is that only true for REVO or more generally?

I think they may have made it revert to standard when they plugged it in to reset the variable servicing

stage 1 332ibft torque :giggle: , imagine stage 2+ you'll be making 400ibft.

power is bang on though, the peak figures dont tell the whole story, your making that peak power for a good 2000rpm which is excellent
