What does everyone think about this design?

I have to say I prefer the current design of Yeti...

...which means if the model year (MY) changes in May 2011, then I had better order in January at the latest if I want the current design...

Doubt it's the 2012 model TBH.

Looks to me like a redesign of the roomster. No ground clearance and low fog lights to me equals a road car not a SUV.

Looks very much like a design variation based on the original Yeti concept. Could be an early concept to production design draft

They won't be changing anything too drastic on the MY changes. Maybe adapting the spec slightly but nothing major.

Having seen Ling try to muscle in on other forums/sites with floods of brash, not at all polite and self centred posts with the sole intention of promoting her business, the mention of her name here fills me with apprehension.

Yes, we've had that on mr2roc.org as well. I'm a mod on there. We deleted the links as they started to multiply.

Lings seem to use old pictures, sometimes computer designed ones rather than genuine actual cars so I would not put any credence on this. I had a look at her site when I was getting my Yeti and a number of different car pictures were "interesting". No complaints about what she does however and she is a cracking self publicist.

Yep that is exactly what it was: an Autocar sketch they commissioned to illustrate what the Yeti might look like based on their sources. That is why it has the exact same A-pillars running into the roof rails as the concept car.
