Mirrors on maxidot

Featured Replies

Quick question!

In the Maxidot, Is there an option to fold your mirrors in, when you turn off the ignition? Got a 2007 elegance.

Is there anything on a new (2010) version to Auto fold when locking.

Only thing I have found so far is to hold lock button.

Not on that age of car, no, sorry.

Only option for mirrors is to switch off the synchronised mirror adjustment (where your passenger mirror moves in tandem with the drivers side)

Interesting point re tandem adjustment - my Elegance does not have Maxidot this time so I asked the garage to 'separate' the mirrors for inividual adjustment while it was hooked up for other changes. They said it isn't possible! Having made this change via Maxidot on my last (08) Elegance, I'm pretty certain you can. Can anyone else confirm please?

Thanks

On the 2010 car you hold the lock button to fold the mirrors, or use the switch on the door. Thats also the way the mirrors fold on my Superb.

That was a very short-lived extra! My mate's 2009 FL Elegance has motorised folding mirrors. my 2010 Elegance does not unless you pay £140 as an optional extra.

Yes you certainly can switch off the synchronised mirror adjustment -- I've done it on my own and several other members cars.

Ask them to look in controller 46, central convenience, and then the tick box for switching the function off is at byte 9, bit 6.

You do need to go via the VCDS/VAGCOM method if you have not got maxidot. If the car DOES have maxidot, the function has to be enabled in VCDS to show in maxidot, where you can then switch it on and off at will. If it isn't enabled in VCDS, the option won't show in maxidot.

Hope this helps

On my 06/2010 model the only option on maxidot is to adjust both , synchronized or just one.

It certainly does, thanks. Once again I have to tell my dealer how to do something, having been told last week that you cannot see the remaining mileage to the next variable service - you can of course by clicking the clock adjuster one click to the left, as I found out shortly after being told that it isn't possible! Hopeless.
