Direct Line rebadged. In my experience, you get what you pay for. I had a 1.9tdi Octy Elegance insured with them about 5 years ago, never again.

First they lost my documents from my previous insurer (Zurich), then they wouldn't take my renewal from Zurich as being proof of no claims as they said it was just a renewal proposal, even though I sent them every last piece of paper that Zurich had sent me.

The too-ing and fro-ing with their call centre dragged on for too long , so they cancelled my No claims bonus and asked for my credit card details on the phone or told me they would cancel my policy there and then if I didn't pay the differnece.

When Zurich finally sent them a letter confirming my no claims discount, after waiting two weeks (knew it had been sent because I was sent a copy too), no refund appeared and I had to spend nearly an hour on the phone and eventually spoke to some snotty B***ch in the call centre who treated me like scum before they finally coughed up.

Needless to say I got rid of them when renewal time came up.

I've also heard stories from people at work about them trying to get out of paying up when they've claimed against people insured with them, even when it was obvioulsy the third party's fault.

IMHO they're cheap for a reason.

I assume you've double checked the quote details carefully? £400 cheaper says to me somethings wrong.

Online quote systems often make assumptions that lead to errors in the quote price.

Tesco insurance used to be underwritten by directline and may well still be since the engine used to get a quote follows direct lines almost identically.

i checked checked and rechecked 530 as opposed to everyone elses 900+ including direct line?

Dont forget you have to declare the exhaust, alloys and tints, they may not be included in that quote.

SkyInsurance is a Briskoda.net Sponso and as a member of briskoda you get discount on top

Call them on 0208 3645500 and remeber to say your a member of briskoda.

my quote come in under 400 with my mods.

I appreciate you receommending us Jack, we are always surprised we do not get more calls from Briskoda members, usually we are very competitive.

Thanks

Tesco car insurance is underwritten by ESURE, but go to Compare the Market.com, and you find will that by going direct with Esure it's cheaper still, as then you do not have to pay Tesco their fee.

Mine too is £400 cheaper with Tesco than anyone else. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I think Tesco hate me lol :p

Even if i insure with them when im 21 in a few days its still apalling lol in the thousands!

where as premium choice quoted me happy :) £800 on my VRS

I was insured on my 110bhp 2.0TD MG ZR with them for £770 lol.

Only problem with premium choice is that the customer service on the phone is SHOCKINGLY TERRIBLE! totally appalling... 'can we ring you back with a quote' NO i need to get to work now, If you get arsey and swear alot and demand to speak to somebody the operator normally gets scared and puts you through lol!

Maybe Tesco only like 25+ lol

most insurers will only entertain 25+ on VRS'
