brake light switch (again!)

Featured Replies

I recently had my brake light switch replaced via AA as had no brake lights, I have looked at most topics regarding this and I am wondering if the "pattern" part used to get me back on the road safely is causing the problem.

My glow plug warning light is flashing it didn't do this straight away but is on all the time now ( I put a tank of decent diesel through just in case) The glow plugs were replaced at last service a few months ago.

Is there any checks I can do first or do I need to get a genuine replacement for it to do the other jobs the forum mentions It is a bit confusing as if it did it straight after the service I would have taken the car back for them to sort

cheers

Are the brake lights working?

If they are then you need the car scanned with VCDS to pinpoint the fault, if they are not working then get the AA to replace it again as it is clearly a faulty part.
