Recalls

Featured Replies

My thermostat/sensor seems to have packed in! I was looking on the forum to find out how to get it fixed and found out that there seems to be a lot of people which have had the problem. How come Skoda doesnt recall this problem? Surely it would be a safety issue if the sensor was not reading correctly etc... Seems to be happening on other models too, not just Fabias!

I'm pretty sure manufacturers only do recalls on safety issues, and I can't really see how a faulty thermostat could be classed as a safety issue.

I have to agree with JulieD. The cars were warrantied for 3 years from new and I do find it incredible that people buy used cars, or keep them for very long periods from new and expect them to last forever.

My own 4-year old car has covered an awful lot of miles and I need to make that 'investment' decision very soon. Do I spend £2K getting the 120k service done (plus a new clutch and turbo) to keep the car 'reliable' or trade it in for something else.
