So 2005 1.9 TDI Elegance talk to me!

Featured Replies

So looks like my ye olde faithful MKI vRS may be going :( It's a 51 with 66K on it and runs like a dream. Unfortunately the Mrs wants something sensible.

I have had 2x MKI vRS hatches and they have been so reliable it's unreal! How will this badger fair???

I have seen one from a stealer with less than 50K on the clock. So what's there to look out for on these???

We also have a 1.4tdi Polo that needs to go. We are going down to a one car family as we don't need 2 cars.

I had a new one on a 56 plate as a company car and it was great. A bit underpowered from the 130 i had before but still a great car.

I did 80k in 18 months with no problems at all.

Got one on a 07 and was very impressed with it. The spec is really good, i've got cruise control, climate control and maxidot too. Having never had a diesel before, i was quite impressed with the performance, alright its no VRS beater, but its poky enough for me, SWMBO and Little Meddy (4).

Just hit the 140,000 miles today in mine, if the DMF goes, you can get a solid clutch system for a quarter of the cost

Why not keep the car that runs like a dream and save a few grand?
