De-cat pipe ? Milltek?

Featured Replies

Hi all this may be a silly question but if you put a de-cat pipe on does this cause the management light to come on? I am looking at a full milltek system out of interest does any one have a video of a car with one on to get an idea of sound ? Thanks all

no it wont. but save yourslef £300 and just fit a straight bit of pipe from the turbo back to the rear. Sorted and sounds mint.

Sounds really nice is that no boxes at all ?

cool. so in theory you could get lcustom place to run a stainless version from the turbo, no cat no back boxes :giggle: and your own choice of taipipe look?

back pressure or what not no issue then? and just normal running yeah? :smirk: cool

ive been advised you need a custom map if you remove the cat

i believe a few people have ran into turbo problems after removing theres although dont quote me there was a topic about it all not so long ago

custom custom rather than the normal revo style?

i believe so but like i say dont quote me on that as im sure someone will be along later to voice there expert opinion

A de-cat on a standard car is ok

A de-cat on a car remapped to run a de-cat is also ok

A de-cat on a car remapped to run with the cat still on is bad, and what can cause problems.

Remember the miltek is also wider than the standard down pipe, although unless your running massive power it's not a issue.

Where can I get the exact exhaust set up the guy has on that video and how much would it set me back? Sounds mint.

A de-cat on a standard car is ok

A de-cat on a car remapped to run a de-cat is PROBABLY ok

Someone from Jabbasport commented last year(?) that they'd seen boost creep even with standard mapping. FFS don't make me find the thread though!

Lol possibly. I actually read the above advice from one of the jabba guys on here.
