YETI Test Drive

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Time to change to a bigger car and we test drove the Yeti 2.0CR 110bhp on Saturday and was well impressed. We went back with the golf bags/trolleys and they fit without having to move the rear seats so we are now agonising over which engine to get. We do less than 10k miles per year and don't want the DPF so we are looking at either the 1.2 or 1.4 petrol. Everything I've read about the 1.2 TSi and 1.4TSi is very positive and going back to an automatic would be nice too (had the toyota multi-manual and Jazz CVT).

So the question is where can I try a 1.2TSi DSG? or would anyone who has one and lives in the Basingstoke area be happy to demo it to us?

Hope you can help

Thanks,

Brian

Hi, and welcome to the forum FAB-Bri.

Your local Skoda dealer may have a 1.2DSG although it may not be in a Yeti, but it's the gearbox you're looking at so that wont matter.

You will LOVE the yeti AND the DSG gearbox................its smoooooooth as silk and VERY responsive AND has the option of being Tiptronic too, so its just like having a manual :D

Hi,

there's at least half a dozen 1.2TSI DSG Yeti's on Skodas approved used site My link

hope that's of help.

The 1.2 engine and DSG work really well. A smooth and slick combination. I enjoyed the test drive of one of those, but ultimately went for the 1.4 to get a tiny bit more grunt.

We've got a 1.2TSI DSG you can drive if you like?

Thanks chaps,

Went to see James (very nice man) and had a test ride in a DSG Yeti and was totally won over by it. OK it doesn't kick you in the back when you kick-down but it does go very well and is quiet and is the right choice for us. :p

I'm sure James will do the deal and I can join the long wait for the 11 plate! :giggle:

Oh did I say the DSG box is Superb :)

My pleasure, glad you liked it. It got me out of the showroom for a bit too!

I replied to your email (I've been off for a few days) and hopefully it's all okay.
