I hope it's an error - I'd say a heated windscreen was more important on a diesel than a petrol, given how long they take to warm up in the cold weather... :S

I would not trust anything the website says! If the system accepted the order and you have an order number then a diesel can have a heated windscreen. Until recently you could not get the heated screen on the 1,2. So that would have left just the 1,8 as being able to get it! And they account for what, 1% of sales? So no just another SUK website anomaly.

Norwegian configurator lets me choose heated windscreen in mid-spec model CR 170, so I guess it should possible for you too.

Just ask dealer or dowload complete pricelist.

Our config also got several misses, like which spec can have double visors, foldable mirrors etc.

Well put it this way - I just took delivery of my diesel Elegance monster with it fitted and its FAB !!!

last week or so here...my 1.2 hasnt got warm after 6 + miles in a morning....temp gauge still at 1/4...and no bloody heated screen has been a nightmare so far..had a few frozen screens of late...god help us when it drops below freezing :S

Blimey mate - we got warm bums warm screen and off in a jiffy in a lovely warm car in no time despite the car being an ice cube on Monday morning....was well impressed !! Heated screen works really well and quick too.

You've been able to spec it on the 1.4 since that was introduced. Still works on the configurator

i think you may need to get your thermostat looked at.

my 1.2 is 1/4 the way up after 2-3miles and at full temp at 4-5miles the wife loves heat and has not moaned about the heater yet {even in the cold weather last winter -6 or7)

to defrost in the morning i just press the max screen button and go and finish my coffee 10-15 min and it is fairly clear. don't find it that bad as heaters go
