What bits do I need for 312 conversion?

Featured Replies

Either of them will be fine.

So u can't use this on standard vrs 16" alloys ?

Yes you can

All in the newly updated 312mm fitting guide in the general guides section.

Both will work just fine, one needs time cleaning and painting

dont you need bolts too?

Nope

Could have sworn id read on another thread someone had to spend £50 on bolts from VW..

yea they where missing the slide pins from there kit..... cost £17 + VAT each lol

All in the newly updated 312mm fitting guide in the general guides section.

Forgot to say..... Where is this guide? i cant find it :giggle:

Thanks Gareth, i was trying to wind him up :smirk: he is so proud of this write up and also noticed the additon of Fabia 2 312mm up grade tips!

Proud lol

I did consider that you may have been having a laff - I was thinking 'what a noob :D - surely he must know where it is....'

Clearly you did and I fell straight into your evil trap - doh!

Are the 2nd eBay ones a good deal in the 2nd link? my brakes at the front are squeaking and I've been told it's my calliper that's broke so might just upgrade to these

Well, the current price ATM is less than I paid for my calipers and carriers alone, although they were new and the ones in the link aren't. But they shouldn't need much to get them looking good.

Whether your caliper actually IS broken is a different matter (see you other thread...) Personally I'd wait until you know for sure, or have worn out the discs and pads you already have on - 312mm kits come up pretty regularly TBH so there's no point in binning what you've currently got if it turns out there's nothing up with them...

That seller has another set up off a bora 4motion I take it all the vw 312 kits are the same and will fit my vrs with no other parts needed ?

Yup
