Droning from rear of car.

Featured Replies

OK, tracking done by dealer, not too far out but now set to 'revised' geometry and spot on. Changed the tyres from front to rear so now need to bed in on front. Noticed that one tyre was worn in the middle and far more wear than the other on same front axle ! As has been posted elsewhere my car came on Dunlops (and is approaching only 8000 miles from new ) and when worn out will definitely not be replaced with same !!! I think the whole 'droning' problem is down to Dunlop tyres fitted and not so much a tracking issue....

Exactly the same as mine, NS front more worn than OS front.

When I first had the car I thought the Dunlops were great and gave good grip. Grip is still there but no way will I be having Dunlop againemoticon-0145-shake.gif

Probably Falken FK452 or Goodyear F1 Assymetric

Skoda recommend anything but Dunlops!!

Skoda recommend anything but Dunlops!!

Which makes it a bit of a joke that they supplied cars with Dunlops for a while... Does that mean I can send them the bill for the replacement tyres as they are apparently stating the tyres supplied are not fit for purpose?

The Dunlop SP Sports fitted to my Scout from new have been fine.

Done 25,000 miles now and easily another 5,000 left in them, good all round wear too.

No complaints here
