Cheers markmac,

what bhp is your car running and what mods did you have on when the map was done

I'll throw my 2 pence worth in:-

Celtic Tuning - heard many a tale of problems post map (blown turbos, etc)

Shark Performance - heard NO tales of problems post map

Hence why I have a Shark map on my Octy II vRS PD - I know who I'd recommend & I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!

Shark are one of the few companies that I've not seen any criticism of or complaints about. They are also forum sponsors and Ben is a genuinely credible guy. I can't speak about Celtic as I have no experience, but if you search about they have had some issues and some dubiety over their claims for power and torque outputs.

Shark ! :)

Think thats all that needs to be said :p

No probs mate, just the pd160 / k&n panel filter, not had it on the rollers yet, id imagine it would be around 170bhp 280lb torque but im only guessing from what ive heard, but the most inportant thing is that it drives smoothly all the way thru the rev range with plenty of power [ only when required of cause emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ]

p.s if you changed the thread to a poll i think you get a very definite result....emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Shark, without a doubt.

And it's not just remaps either, Ben helped me save a fortune and get me back on the road very quickly when my ECU failed. My local VAG 'specialist' just dicked around for 3 months, then the main dealer wanted a four-figure sum to sort it. Ben came to the rescue :)

Would there be any benefits in going over to Shark rather than P-Torqe or is it a matter of personal preference? I'm hoping to get mine done early next year. I was thinking of going to Awesome with it being close to me but going off what people have said about the Revo maps in another thread it's put me off slightly.

Sorry to keep hijacking threads but I don't wanna start a fresh one when its a similar topic. £2-300 is a lot of money to me so I want to make sure I spend it right :)

Cheers

Marc
