I was under the impression that the seat sport kit use the standard crappy VAG connectors that pop off when running even just a remap, let alone 200bhp +. That was my reason for it anyway

Matt

not the intercooler...

you can stick silicone hoses straight onto it with jubilee's

seat sport fmic and seat ibiza pipework....

match made in heaven

Never realised. How much are the seat sport pipe work then?

So £3 MORE than the forge. Mystery solved, people get the forge kit cos its cheaper pmsl

Matt

yeah but a 2nd hand seat sport intercooler can be had for £150 or less so the £350 is better than £650

seat sport all in is circa 550

is forge not like 700 now?

Forge is 650 full kit on eBay iirc

Ahhhh, i`m getting confused, yes i agree with all you have said pmsl. Oh and the other week when they were all talking about "custom" ebay FMIC`s and you go bounding in with your "call that a front mount?!" and pictures of said huge cooler, very funny bahahahahahahah

Matt

Now I'm confused lol

So PD150 hybrid turbo are the best way to go? I need to buy a PD150 turbo and then send it to a company to have hybrid or exchanged for a hybrid turbo right? Which company does everyone use?

I said in another post. When 150 turbos come up, they are £300 minimum. Then £500 to hybrid it. Unit 18 do a brand new 150 hybrid, fitted, with egr delete, and mapped for £1000. Far better option IMO. The map is a top banana washbrook one, and Ali knows his stuff!

Matt

Pretty sure turbo dynamics no longer do exchange units, but CR turbos do and their PD150 hybrid is just under 600 quid iirc.

I take it that doesn't include a bigger ic? Think I'm going to go down this route as it sounds good value, I'll see if I can get it booked in for christmas, nice xmas present!

No, but seat sport can be had for less than £500. Or you could get the turbo, then get to tweaked when you get the fmic

Going to get the Seat FMIC fitted at the same time, save going back when the warmer weather kicks in, stealing all my power.

All booked in for the christmas break, will have to wait till the new year to pick her up as we are on holiday, can't see the mises being impressed if I try to cancel the holiday :p

Next step after this is a widemouth and a respray.

I have a diblias cam

Does that count?

Or a pwr air to liquid charge cooler

This intercooler malarchy old hat now ;)

not when current generation VNT turbo's make more boost at lower revs and for longer. charge coolers aren't anything new either ;)

blah blah blah

yadda yadda yadda :p

:o... :D:thumbup:

don't get me wrong, VNT20 at 250bhp is better than a 17 at 220 or so and I'm well tempted to replace my current hybrid, just don't know where to go right now

what are the different types of hybrid and their power out puts?

Wow that is good value. So with a FMIC what sort of power is that going to be putting out? 200-220?

matt

hybrid pd130 vnt15 = 190-200bhp

hybrid pd150 stage 1 vnt17 = 200-215bhp

hybrid pd150 stage 2 vnt17 = 220-230bhp

hybrid vnt20 = 250-280bhp

anything after stage 2 pd150 your going to need bigger injectors
