I used to have a 'comment' under my Reg No. & when Police came to investigate after my tailgate was keyed overnight, it was pointed out to me that it wasn't strictly legal. Fortunately the Officer was a fellow Skoda Enthusiast with one of the first MKI Octy vRs & his first question was, "Does the boot still get wet when you lift the tail-gate after it's been raining ??" . Top Guy.

Indeed; not permitted under the number plate regs. The plate must show the registration (obviously), plus the manufacturer of the plate and the appropriate BS standard, to show that it is compliant.

You can then have the country section at the side, if you wish - but then there are stipulations about that too, which I can't be bothered to list out... !

It took 4 to give me 3 points and a £60 fine for parking on a zig zag line in my works truck 7 or so years ago.

(Even though the tailboard overlapped by only 1 foot.) Which was nice.

And I'm not anti-police either, my Sister is a Sargeant in the Met.
