Miles to go to next service?

Featured Replies

I've now got a FL vRS ( non maxidot) and the usual method of displaying the miles/days to the next service, that I used on all my pre facefift octys doesn't work. I initially put it down ti it being new but even after 4 months and 3500 miles it still is not working. Is there a different method on FL cars?

On my TSI if i turn the trip reset button it goes into the clock settings then flashes up the miles to next service.

I recently asked my dealer the same question - and they couldn't answer it! They concluded that it couldn't be done without Maxidot. It was only later on in the day that I found the 'miles to go' by turning the clock adjuster one click to the left.

The ignorance of some dealers just staggers me, particularly over such a simple matter.

Thanks to both Ruffday and GMC555 it works! Totally different from the method employed on all my pre FL Octys.

What is the pre-FL method?

Just turn the clock reset the other way and it shows the mileage.

looking like the TSI VRS will do about 18500 miles which is not bad for a petrol car.

What is the pre-FL method?

Turn the ignition off one click then press the clock reset button in and hold it in.
