That old chestnut again - vRS seat covers

Featured Replies

Here's that old question again: Where can I find some heavy duty seat covers for the Fabia vRS that will protect my seats?

I've tried looking around local shops and can't seem to find any that fit. As winter draws in I'm getting paranoid of my girlfriend's nieces getting their mucky feet all over the back of the seats! Found a good set for £20 but they weren't deep enough for the bottoms or the sides. Went to Skoda (Furrow's Oswestry) and they didn't know is Skoda even made some for the vRS. I blatantly refuse to even go ask Halfords due to ridiculous pricing, so I'm pretty much all searched out now. A few people have told me to lok at eBay but all the sellers do is place a normal seat cover on a listing with vRS in the name to attract buyers - and they don't end up fitting.

Does anyone have any seat covers on their vRS that fit nicely and actually look ok (some waterproof black ones would be nice)? If so, where can I get my hands on some? Anyone have any suggestions of where would maybe custom make them quite cheap (little bit on the tight fisted side you see!)?

Any and all answers appreciated!

Googling < site:briskoda.net skoda fabia seat covers > brings up several recent threads on this topic here

I've used Google to search this site and recent threads point to the following:

  • Lidl Seat cover (no longer available)
  • Town And Country covers (Called a few local dealers from their site and they no longer stock them)
  • eBay covers (don't fit properly)

The only other suggestion taking my interest are Mucky Joe's from hatchbag. From their site they look like they are £35 + p+p for the front covers and rear seat protector is £49.99 + p+p. Seem quite an expensive option, where standard sets from local car parts shops are £20 - £30 for a hugh quality set.

Does anyone have any experience of the Mucky Joe's??

i got my full set from the above link i did suggest a group buy but no one was intrested. i got a full set and they fit perfect a little snug on the front but they fit and have now been on for 2 months no problems

Cheers for that link, but somehow that item didn't come up in my eBay search of 'vrs seat cover' - very weird!!

When you say they fit snuggly on the front, are they so snug that they wil tear at the seam or do they seem to be loose enough for that? Would you say they are an item that will last a while (i.e. good enough fit not to stretch, good heavy duty material?

I would imagine that the threads/posts written about the Lidl ones were written my me.

You could of course go to your local Lidl store and see on the off-chance if they have any left in stock.

I've got the "ActionSport" ones from Halfords, had them on my last car which was a Focus and they fitted well on that, the fit on the Vrs is not bad but they do pull the bolsters on the sides of the seat.

However they're only on for a few days a week so do the job albeit not as well as I'd like...
