I now own a vrs :D

Featured Replies

Brought Friday, black, one owner, 90k, full dealer history, 55 plate. To say I love it is an understatement! Have a panel filter, and some Porsche 928's but unsure weather to stick them on, may sell for some suspension! Will get a few pics up tomo so anyone local can give me a wave (Sevenoaks-t wells,Kent)

few minor problems. The petrol light came on just before I got to the petrol station. Since this there is a squelch noise when I turn the ignition. Was told air in the lines possibly? How can I fix it? Also any ways to fix the door moulding (like a definitive thread) as there is a damp smell in the car. I have tried the site search for both problems but found nowt.

Thanks all

Well done for choosing the Furby vRS. You've made the right choice. :D

The noise might be the fuel pumps priming which is normal, and you just not noticed before. Or as you suggested air in fuel lines.

The leaking rear doors are a common problem for Fabias. There is not a Fix thread, but this page on another site helps. Fabia-vrs.com - Door Carrier Repair There is also a video in this thread. Leaking Rear Door Seals Video Fix. Recently there was a thread about the sealant you can use.

Nice one

You should come along to the November Kent meet on the 13th

Hello javi20xe

Because the petrol light came 'ON' hope you ignored it and filled up with diesel????emoticon-0105-wink.gif

It is a PD engine, they need priming with fuel, it is the primeing pump, mine does it sometimes, almost after it has been sat for a little the fuel has worked its way back and the pump is a little dry.

Nothing to worry about.... mine has it, my dads had it. its common.

And yes.... come along to the SE Meet, we have lots of Vrs' a nice place to eat and good burgers, and its only in maidstone! worth the M20 run

No never noticed it before. Is quite a loud like squelch, and yes I put diesel in :D sounds strange saying diesel light!

Thank for the leaky door link, will get some sealant on there sharpish.

I am starting to get abit worried about the squelch though :(

I paid 3950 for it. Had one owner fsh etc, there are a few with plenty more miles around!

As for the Kent meet I'll defo be there, would be good to see a few other members cars

Good deal, weeks ago I paid 3900 I think it was for an 04 on a 53 plate with 94k

Ah thanks chris. You still enjoying it? Was yours dealer or private? Mine was private n I did manage to know a fair bit off the asking price

welcome, good price that mate, prices seem to have dropped a little recently... i paid 6350 for a 55reg 67k fssh 6mths ago emoticon-0148-yes.gif , you still got the xe corsa then? goes like stink i bet? emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Still enjoying it, got it tinted, and mapped to 180bhp and 300 torques but only made 263/286 on the dyno but found out my intercooler is knackered so buying a used one for £50

Will be lowering it 40mm and getting the chrome grill sprayed black tomorrow morning, put a new head unit in with Bluetooth

Won't be doing much else, with the map it's much quicker.

I've gone from a Clio 182 in racing blue and I do miss it but the fabia is better built and more economical and it does make me smile.

Ah no sold the shell n engine to a mate and am selling all the other bits seperatly at the moment, seems the only way to make money with things like this :(

yea was quick, but very different to my vrs. Honestly much prefer the delivery of power from the fabia mind . . Car is slowly being mopped over this week durning my lunch break at work, 20 minutes a panel! The wing had hundreds of bush scrapped down it. Good as new now :D will do before+after

Ah I get so excited thinking about the future of my furby :)

sounds nice chris, what colour is it?

Also how much did the car change with the map? Because they are quick as standard!

Mines is black also, big difference mapped but no fun in the wet can't get the power down the wheels like to spin.

will be good to see your future progress :)

I wouldn't worry about the 'squelch', as others have said, it's completely natural! Nothing to worry about at all. Mine has been doing it for the last 12-14 months and I've had no problems!

Relax and enjoy!
