Clutch problem

Featured Replies

Just had my car taken to a garage, as the clutch is gone!!!!

We took out a warrenty when we brought the car, and the garage said something about the hydralics????!!!!!

On my warrenty booklet it says under the clutch section "Centre plate, pressure plate, release bearing, oil contamination(centre plate only) and master and slave cylinders"

Does that mean its covered? And whats the cost involved in that - found out we have to pay the labour on the job!!!!

I wouldn't worry to be honest.. although I do not know the workings of that particular clutch the hydraulics 99% certain to be to do with the cylinders, i.e. leaking master or slave cylinder. for a clutch change id say usually between 4-6 hours labour.. not a huge job!

I had mine done on my VRS the other week due to a failure. The entire clutch kit that you've described was fitted, took all of a morning. It was replaced under warantee fortunatley.
