Hi guys,

I have a fabia 1.9tdi 2001 and the speedo is somewhat erratic. it behaves normally off the throttle, but when you are accelerating, esp on WOT, it acts almost like a vacuum or boost gauge, and reads off the clock. It will then drop back down to the actual speed of the car as you ome off the throttle.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be and how to fix it??

Maybe a dodgy earth or connection somewhere?

Otherwise no idea, sorry.

Perhaps your car had the optional warp drive fitted?

Dodgey connection sounds likely to me somewhere. Identifying it could be fun though.
