Suspension Geometry In my Area

Featured Replies

Hello, I feel almost apologetic asking about this same old thing.... my vrs combi is exhibiting signs of the dreaded sawtooth drone, the tyres don't show any significant uneven wear and have a few miles of tread left but the drone has started now they are up to about 17,000 miles - to be honest I mostly ignore it because car is driving beautifully and I don't want anybody to muck it up ! However, and the point of my question, is does anybody have a recommendation for a good place to have the geometry checked near(ish) to where I live - Hersham, near Weybridge in Surrey. Or should I just go to local dealership ? I don't mind a modest journey distance to a really good place - I understand Pro Tyre are very good at this but my nearest one is about an hour away.

After thought.... I do usually drive it with massive load in the back ( two Newfoundland dogs ) so I add more air to back tyres , doesn't make much difference to the drone whether is it loaded or not but I wonder if the suspension is clever enough to correct the geometry for load.... or maybe I am expecting too much :-)

Sorry to make you all cringe with same old issue - suggestions much appreciated....

ps.. Car is Mar 08 so not sure whether it wd have been set up with now well known revised settings or not

Old value: -1°45' ± 30' New value: -1°20' ± 30'
