I think i'm too low

Featured Replies

Had the coilovers fitted yesterday, but there is about a fingers worth between the tyre and the arch. Looks ace but I can hear it catching on a bad lane by my house. I thought it was the undertray, but its the tyre on the arch.

Anyone know how to raise Weitecs? It only needs about 5mm. If so, can some stick a little how to pretty please

Thanks

Jon

How low are you ? lol

take wheel off....

un-do captive grub screw

use adjuster spanner to turn adjuster up on thread!

pretty self explanitory

re-tighten grub screw at chosen height

put wheel back on

do same other side

Thank you Jase.

Its pretty low, but just needs to go up about 5mm if that. Just to give a bit more clearance.

If you need to adjust the rears there is no gub screw you just have to get underneath and wind the adjuster up under the spring.

It will look much like this up front

what wheels you running, i'm running 16's with 205/45's with offset of 40 and my coils are as low as they go with no arch scrubbing...

Yep, OEM wheels bud. On the main road they are fine, but on my lanes they scrape a couple of times. I live in Wales

What's the gap like on the front? How many fingers between tyre and arch?

No pleasing some people, put original kit back-on or move house. LOLemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

you running spacers on the rear or something? mine caught with large spacers,

hi dude, iv got weitecs on mine with the original 16's all the way down on the back with 15mm spacers and iv got 7 threads left on the front so not far from the bottom and they have 10mm spacers and mine are fine all over, no rubbing or anything with normal driving, full lock etc

I still think there could be more to it than jus raising the height. Take it to a dealer n get it checked out, or ask about if anyone else thinks the wheel placements is off?
