Featured Replies

hi there im in desperate need of some help my fabia 1.4mpi on a w reg 2000 model seems to be using too much petrol and running really rich also its very jumpy ive been told it may be something to dowith the throttle body maybe and its apparently easy to get too could someone possible point me out in the right direction or has somebody maybe got the same problem im extremeley miffed as i filled my tank up last week for work and only got 273 miles and thats no good for me ive had a technician look at it and apparently removing the throttle casing is a easy task and theres a hole somewhere that maybe clogged any advice will be greatfully recieved many thanx for reading

I would also check that your thermostat is working okay as I have read numerous threads on here where it has malfunctioned. This could lead to over fuelling if the ECU doesn’t think the engine has warmed up. I don't really know about setting up the throttle body but think you may need something like VAGCOM to make sure it is set up correctly?

Have you changed your Air Filter lately ?
