change Tires on Octavia RS

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone, I

Hello and Welcome:D

i changed my tyres on my Octy vRS to Bridgestone S03's and retained the standard size.

i have always done this on previous cars due to going along the lines that the manufacturers will have tested the car with various sizes and come to the said result of the size we find fitted as standard to give the best overall performance.

but at the end of the day its down to what the owners feels is best and prefers.

Try 215/45/17s goodyear eagle f1s i found them

I gradually changed from 205's to 225's. No problems at all in over 20K miles.

Running 225's on mine, no problems. They are quiet a bit cheaper than the standard fitment to. Something to remember, for a time in late 2001 some octy RS's were supplied new with 225's on from the factory.

ran 225/45 on mine for 130,000 miles with no problems so you should be OK ;)

A good mate of mine has just put a set of them in that size on his octy vRS, rates them very highly, and I think they look better than the 205/50's aswell :)

come on over Saturday and meet Q too:P

Was this a fitted and balanced price or supply only' date=' if fitted do they have national outlets or just your local tyre place?

Someone said over on Seat site that on a Leon Cupra they were not very good but sounds like they are fine on the vRS.

The price i paid was for fitting and balance plus valves from national tyre in basingstoke they match anyone for price  they stick to the road like glue a bit more road noise which is not a prob :D

I ran Goodyear Eagle F1s on my last (non-Skoda) car and really rated them. Although, I did only have Avon's to compare against :thumbdwn:
