Here's another vid I found while wandering around You Tube. Again, apologies if it's been posted before - it's quite old. Shame the commentary is in Russian, I believe, as it looks like a very comprehensive review. However, the interesting stuff is after all the 'look around' stuff - some very good footage of snow travel, and of the drive coping with spin and wheels lifting, and quite testing off road conditions etc. Gives a good idea of capability, and looks encouraging, but tyres etc are a mystery. I would love to be able to understand what was being said during this long sequence, but my O level Russian, from about 40 years ago, sadly not up to it!

As for the tyres - wow, they looked like All Season tyres.... so an impressive performance!

I like her ridiculous microphone.

That is a good vid. As for the windshield on her mic - a big one is better than a little one! But did anyone notice - he was driving with his FOGS on, oh the shame of it. What if I was coming the other way.

It did show the off road handling very well but I don't think I will be trying anything like this without a tow vehicle on standby! The tyres did look pretty standard but, I guess, they had better off road capability than the ones issued here.

There was enough snow inside that Yeti to make a decent snowball.

Tires were standard summer tires, which means that this video shows that our SM is quite impressive when it comes to offroading. Summer tires+snow is not a good combination, and you could really see that the tires had virtually no grip and were constantly skidding around.

Having said that I don't think that the route shown here would pose any trouble to a FWD Yeti with proper winter tires fitted. Your average car might run out of ground clearance though.

Just wait for the sequel................Yeti in the spring................................................apparently, its out May 2011
