Reallign Throttle Body - Advice please

Featured Replies

I have the ESP light on the Golf and having done some digging around I need some advice please.

Vag-Com tells me that the fault lies with the Lateral acceleration sensor (g200) and on a few forums they suggest that realligning the throttle body with Vag-Com MAY sort this. Thinking it's worth a go, I grab the "how to" from Ross tech and it states in there that the throttle body must be clean before realliging, is this absolutely necessary?

Could putting a pipercross induction kit have fouled or messed up the allignment of the throttle body at all?

It's better if it's clean because all the carbonised crud can clog up the valve and prevent it from moving through its full range.
