The first wiper setting has stopped workin?

Featured Replies

As the title says, the first wiper setting which you can adjust has stopped working..

Anyone had the same problem, or anyone know how to fix it??

Thanks

replacing the stalk might be a good start? Must be able to get one cheap from a scrappy or ebay?

Or maybe the relay?

Mine sometimes stops but then on seperate occasions it works again. Let us know what fixes it.

Does it make the rear wiper sweep when reverse is engaged and the wiper is on the first setting?

there isn't a relay for it as such, there's a box of tricks called the central electrics module responsible for controlling various things, one of them is wipers.

Ah my mistake - knew it was relay controlled on my Polo, just assumed Fabia's would be too. Sorry!

If its the intermittant wiper setting that doesnt work make sure your bonnet is shut, if that doesnt work check the switch in the catch.

Shouldnt be that expensive I wouldnt have thought, dont want to buy and fit a stalk for the problem to remain..
