Does anyone know when Skoda is coming back to Northampton?

They have apparently bought the old Porsche garage on the Bedford road but still no press on it.

Any ideas?

That would be good. Had to travel miles to get my car serviced!

I didn't realise there wasn't a garage in Northampton any more - I just got my VRS 3 weeks ago - where is closest at the moment then

The rumours are late December or early 2011. Apparently it's going to be in the empty unit next to where volvo were so your source is pretty much spot on. ***** has been approached by them to be a technician but I've not heard much more for the last couple of weeks, however I'm with him tonight so will ask if he knows any more.

Autohaus folded ages ago iirc and thus the dealer on Riverside retail park.

Wayside are now a Skoda dealer at Kingston, Milton Keynes.

Confirmed as opening 15th December in the old Saab garage

It was due to open much earlier this year, April/May, but they had problems getting the lease sorted out.

My understanding is that lease has now been signed and then 6 weeks to opening

15th December seems a bit optimistic to me although as it has been a garage before (Saab and Porsche) it must have all the major lift equipment in the workshop.

Will only be 5 minutes away for me instead of going to Bedford
