Advertised prices are defiantly on many used Yetis particularly TDI 4x4 close too or above list. Noticed yesterday on the SUK used site a 6 month old Yeti 'S' TDI 110 4x4 with 5,000 miles done, advertised for £18,500. The RRP with metallic paint is £17,995.

Waiting times I think are keeping these prices high and obviously winter coming this will have sparked interest in 4x4.

Yes they are at the moment. I seem to remember there being a discussion about this very topic a month or so back.

Dealers are paying over the odds at the moment so they can have one to show people so they can sell more....

I have been monitoring this(excellent) site for a while as I am looking to change to a SUV type car.Have looked at the IX35,ASX etc but seem to prefer the Yeti as first choice, but I am not so desperate to become a Yeti owner as to be forced to pay the second hand prices being asked by Skoda at the moment.Six month old cars with 6-7K on the clock and the going price is aprox, £700 above the OTR price-I dont think so!.

With these prices its a case of drive off the forecourt and lose £5000-00 straight away on the cars value. But there are people out there paying these prices,as I have said before its your money good luck to you,but personaly its thanks but no thanks for me.Plus most of the cars for sale seem to be ex Skoda UK fleet cars-I wonder what sort of treatment they have had in the past?.

It doesn't make sense given that dealers seem to be offering 10%+ discounts on new Yetis??? Maybe the asking prices for used ones are high but people aren't actually paying that much???

well they are selling, no idea for what price mind. Noticed all the cheaper 1.8TSI's have disappeared, also noted that there's been a very recent increase in used numbers; think SUK have released more of theirs.

Currently the Benfield group appear to be holding 5 used Yeti's; 140 SE x2, 140 Elegance x1, 170 Elegance x2 My link

It's simply a case of dealers cashing in on those that do not wish to wait 5+ months for a factory ordered car, it's also the Same with Superb estates.

My car cost a couple of grand less than some that are being advertised with around 10K on the clock, some people are happy to pay the premium so they do not have to wait for a new one - they will also be the ones moaning the most about how much the car has depreciated when they come to sell it again.

ATEOTD you can't blame the dealers, if the car is priced too dear then it simply wont sell.

I've bought a used one, we looked at buying new, the one we bought is the Spec and Colour we wanted and rather than wait till March or more, we waited three days from order to delivery and have it now, we combined two vehicles to one, one being a van for biking and a car, as the Yeti can carry the bikes made sense to combine and the dealer was able to do a good price to change on one vehicle and we sold the other elsewhere, was happy to pay a premium, appreacite the depreciation will be higher but that is a fact of car ownership, we are saving plenty by having one depreciating asset and not two and lesser running costs.

Very pleased we did this as the Yeti is proving to a great car just what we hoped for.
