I was under the bonnet letting some cooling happen

i could hear a small hiss..... im sure ive heard it before but this time i went looking

and OOOOPS i found it a tiny split in the end of this pipe

i cant make out how it comes out that Y piece? or if it all 1 or sumin???? could i nip the end off i didnt try and pull it out or anything .......... mainly cos im crap but also could sus it out :S lol im also thick :p

nip the end of and re fit

this is the vac line and will be causing you issues as this is als linked to the brake booster so important lol

do i just undo the silver clip, pull it out ... cut it and push it back in? with a good ol jubilee clip?

pull it out, nip it. push it back in is this a guide to fixing a car or am i in the wrong forum lol

lol yep slip it out slip it in making sure it touches the sides or it will be inadequate and then hold tight with a good jubilee clip lol

do what i did and remove all of them and simplify will ensure trouble free pipes if you do

Hehe with my skills i'll have a dead octy, i draw the line after stereos and stripping the insides :(

yep remove them and replace hoses with a catch tank and remove all vac lines and replace with just 2 very simple job and works well

I've got a split in the exact same place, could this have caused my 17705 code?
