Cheap ISO lead for octavia 1 and some info on installing aftermarket HU's

Featured Replies

Just a heads up really if you are considering fitting a Head unit in your octavia/Fabia 1 and require an ISO lead

I found the product code PC2-69-4 for octavia 1 + Fabia 1 ISO leads selling at halfrauds for about £20! :o

a Seat Toledo aftermarket one using the same product code is £2.88 with free P+P here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150391438228&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

have dealt with the seller liquid ICE in the past and they were spot on

Also it seems a little bit of a grey area people fitting aftermarket HU's in the octys and other VAG cars due to fear of putting Constant 12V down the K-line use for diagnostics. Some are fine and others aren't so sure

found a little explanation and test here if you were maybe put off by it.

Thought these might be of use and could save a few quid in future!

+1 :wonder:

Good find on ebay

TBH, I'd save myself 2.88 and cut the extra connectors on the existing iso block :giggle:

Think you'd still have to mess around with ebay iso block, as it may require a power line to the aerial amp

Checking the wiring of the iso should be 2nd nature away - many manufactures seem to like moving things round - swapping of the ignition and battery 12v power wires is common :dull:

Don't think I've ever fitted an iso block with having to fiddle with one of the connections
