Skoda scotchguard?

Featured Replies

Hi,

We're probably going to change our 5 year old Golf GTI for a new Fabia VRS, my only concern is the fabric seats....we have 2 kids who eat crisps seem to drop half full capri suns quite often. With the Octy & Golf's leather seats this is not a problem...but I'm concerned it will take its toll on the fabric seats.

My questions are

1/ Do Skoda offer a type of Scotchguard to protect the seats?

2/ Would people recommend anything else?

Thanks

yes mucky joes car seat covers hatchbag.com around £100

3M Scotchgard...Always used it. Very good indeed

My dealer threw in the auto glym life shine product which is applied inside and out. Haven't had the car long but it seems good stuff. I have also used seat covers in the past and find them easy to fit and clean.

Yep , planning to use the same stuff on my car ( if it ever arrives ) and my wifes new car. They had an offer of 3 cans for the price of 2.

sell the Kids

Sorted

They were supposed to have applied it to our first and second Fabia's, before the FabiavRS

Drip some water on the seats..If it beads immediately, then they applied it...If it sinks in..Youve been ripped off like us

I was going to make a formal complaint to AutoGlym via the Dealer MD but the car was nicked..so didnt.

seat covers or discipline the kids.

Mine are grown up now no food crisps or chocolate in car and no picnics,

Same here. Be interesting to know if they actually did it to mine. Never really trust stuff like this gets done properly if at all for that matter.

When we bought our new Fabia our Skoda dealer asked if we wante 'SupaGuard' applied inside and out, we did! It protects both paint from abrasions and the elements (and boy does it work!) and all the seats and carpets inside the vehicle were treated with the fabric protector also. The whole lot came with a 3 year guarantee. If we spill something on the seats that stains we just call them and they come to us to fix it under warranty. The paint stays immaculately clean and is much easier to wash down. Can't recommend it highly enough.
