I want coilovers now...

... but can't find anything about them on the web. :( I know of two fabia's with them on now and I fancy giving them a shot, as they sound lush as!

Sooo, if someone can point me in a good direction for a set, that would be cool. And anyone who does this for me, with a TDI on standard suspension, could be rewarded with a set of complete eibach dampers & springs at a reasonable price. ;)

have a look at motorsport international they import kw stuff from germany its where i got mine from and i habe to say i am very impressed i think they cost 650 quid delivered for the v2 (adjustable for height and rebound). there is a lot more grip although i should raise it a bit because with 4 people in the car it tends to rub a bit

Jason after seeing Alex and his lowered Fabia I had a look for coil overs for the Fabia and found them on a German website. IIRC the cost was something like GBP750 but as I'm not in a position to get our car fettled yet I didn't look any further.

I found the site after reading Alex's post so it was probably a Google search. Cannot recall the name of the site now.

J,

v1 only adjust for height.

Eibach are now doing coil overs.....not sure on the Fabia though.....want me to have a chat for you? ;)

Oooh, yes please.

Adjustable damping? I wonder if I'd really need that? Sounds like something trendy to have, but then likewise totally unnecessary. :o I like the idea of being able to drop the car a wee bit more though, and then raise it up again as and when I feel like it.

Will give em a buzz next week if I'm well enough.

V2 you can adjust only the rebound...or is it bump?? I also think you can only do this for the front...if you can do for the rear you'll have to drop the strut to get to the adjuster....same for v3s.

I'm quite greatfull my car has adjustable damping, softened it up in the recent poor weather and found it alot better, will stiffen it up a bit when its a bit drier.

Toxxin has KW coil overs on his 130 PD Ibiza Sport, looks sweet and having driven it quite a few times can say it has really good road manners.

 I definitely want to look into it, and from the proceeds of selling my complete Fabia eibach setup to some other TDI owner, it wouldn't cost TOO much I think. :o

edit: When you say "drop the strut" that just means jack it up so the wheel fully hangs down right? Not undo the turret bolts and stuff?

To adjust the rear, you need to disconnect the damper to engage the adjusting mechanism and twist the strut. That is the rear only, the front is a doddle. Adjust using plastic adjusting thingy.

I have had the kw2's now on the octy for nearly a year, and only ever adjust the front for trackdays and the ring.

Eibach TDi springs different to vRS ones?

Eibach TDi springs different to vRS ones?

Yeah, people have run on them, but TDI springs are marginally weaker than vRS ones, which must cope with the extra stresses the heavier engine puts on it. But then the dampers are the same and I'm sure vRS springs can be picked up new for about

J,

spoken to Jabba they're looking into for you. ;)

Sorry Adrian :o I've put an order in for a set of coilovers from another trusted Briskodian I've used before. ;) Although saying that Jabba may end up fitting them for me depending on my timeframe / tuning calendar. ;)
