I run an Octavia and my wife a Fabia that replaced a Felicia that was written off by a lorry. They have / had been run from new and delivered an excellent mix of performance, economy and value until last late year. Problems with my 2.0L 140 TDi engine surfaced then and snowballed this year, causing me to find this site to share my experience and find out whether I am simply unlucky or not alone. Will post them on the Octavia Forum later.

Incidentally, my title reflects frustration at being unable to find any name or nickname that had not been taken rather than any royal pretensions. Please call me Phil!
