I am thinking that I might get some winter tyres for the car, and was considering a second set of alloys to stick them on. Any ideas on what is the going rate for a second hand set on ebay / elsewhere?

I am guessing I would stick with the standard 205/55 16 combination, although there is a benefit to getting a skinnier tyre. Open to suggestions/recommendations really.

I was going to do the same but on ebay they were going for about £250 so I bought some VW Bora wheels that already had winter tyres fitted for £125.

It was £250 for vRS alloys not sure how much other octy wheels go for.

I have seen some Alloys, which look to be the L&K ones for about £190 +£50 postage. Wow, the Bora ones sound like a much better deal. I had better widen my search!

VW Bora 16" alloys are probably the easiest to find as both the Sport and SE had them as standard. The Highline had 16" too, but a different design.
