does it just pull off or is it threaded/screwed? just like to know as i've got a new gear knob and don't wanna butcher the OE off and find the new one doesn't fit

Had a go a fitting my gear knob and the vrs is different to the one in the link. It just slides on but is held in place by a clip under the gear gaitor.

My replacement gear knob is a screw on version so won't fit (good job it was free). Back to the drawing board
